Renewed urgent appeal from Nobel Peace Laureates to the government of Myanmar for the release of Aung San Suu Kyi
At the end of the 6th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates, those attending the Rome forum appeal again to the government of Myanmar demanding the liberation of the Burmese Nobel Laureate, held under house arrest for almost three years.

2005 Summit: list of attendees
Over 25 Nobel Peace Laureates, including individuals and representatives of the Organizations, as well as about ten guests of honour of international renown, will attend the Rome Summit again this year. This confirms the growing success of this event, which has joined the ranks of the most significant meetings on the themes of peace, solidarity, and human rights

2005 Summit: thematic session and collateral events
This year too, the days dedicated to the Summit will be rich in thematic sessions and collateral events. Highlights include the session in memory of the genocide in Rwanda in 1994 and the charity evening event “Rwanda 94 – The duty of memory, hope in the future”, both scheduled to take place at the Teatro Eliseo in Rome. Another event worth a special mention is the exhibition entitled “Signs for Peace” which will be inaugurated at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in the presence of the Nobel Peace Laureates.
